Sofia Lutteroth's main medium is mixed media, and her work spans sculpture, illustration, collage, writing and jewelry. Her work invites its viewer to navigate and question their emotions through the power of the external world. Drawing inspiration from spirituality, psychology, meditation, nature and found objects, she is committed to creating a lasting connection between each piece and its viewer.

Sofia was born and raised in the San Diego/Tijuana binational region. After completing a certificate program in Tempera Painting, in Florence,Italy, she received her BA in Arts Administration in Guadalajara Mexico.

She then returned to her border hometown working at several art institutions; including The San Diego Museum of Art and San Diego Art Institute. During this time, Sofia was exposed to second hand culture and found magic in the world of beads and jewelry. She is the creator of Sacred Scraps, a business and art project in which she designs one of a kind accessories from vintage beads and upcycled materials.
