Kiyomi Koide, Oakland, CA.
Kiyomi was born and raised in Japan, introduced to clay in Mexico and became obsessed and dedicated to the craft in The States. Her work is a direct result of all these places. Aesthetically elevated, simply utilitarian and functionally performative. Kiyomi's ultimate purpose is to "enrich the user's everyday life and make them happy." These perfectly spouted vessels are traditionally intended for sake but make nice with any liquid.
