PAAT makes functional art objects using ecological cement, reinforced with natural fiber (hemp). Each piece is unique, handmade. The assorted slabs very in size and colors. Use for various things around the house. Not recommended for serving food. Sizes range from 8"-10" x 13-15"

PAAT is a Mayan word, which means: to form, to generate, to produce, to invent, to mold.
Our mind does not rest, not even when we sleep. Therefore, we decided to give life to those figures/objects that pass through that small and, at the same time, immense universe: the mind.
We generated this workshop/space to give life to new ideas, either our own or collaboration.
PAAT was born in Tijuana, 2018. We constantly delve into the universe of textures, shapes and colors. We speak through concrete and some allies, producing objects: furniture, sculpture, and more. Seeking to generate objects for human caves. Concrete does not allow us to make two equal pieces. We are grateful for that, because it gives us the opportunity to offer you a more accurate analogy "we are all different; unique".
In our research, looking for better results in our pieces (durability, finish, workability, resistance, among other things), we stopped at this concrete that, in its production, is less polluting than other cements: it emits less CO2, greater use of recycled materials, greater durability, at least 2 times more than Portland cement (80 years vs. 40 years); it is a high performance concrete which we have formulated with additives to improve the qualities (durability and aesthetics).
We use natural fiber (hemp) as a reinforcement to ensure superior strength, exceptional finishing ability and high quality surfaces; it makes our blend more resistant to both bending and tension, as well as cracking.
